Telefónica lanza la primera edición de la ‘Startup Cloud Competition’ para premiar la innovación tecnológica

El certamen nace de la voluntad de ambas compañías de impulsar la innovación mediante un uso avanzado de las nuevas tecnologías cloud, descubrir nuevas soluciones y acelerar el desarrollo de las startups en España.

La tecnología cloud continúa ganando terreno en el sector emprendedor y cada vez más startups se apoyan en ella para ofrecer nuevas soluciones con aplicaciones disruptivas en diferentes sectores. Bajo esta premisa, Telefónica, a través de Altostratus, Part of Telefónica Tech y de la iniciativa de innovación abierta Wayra, han puesto en marcha la primera edición de la ‘Startup Cloud Competition’ para reconocer el talento técnico en este segmento.

La competición tiene como objetivo reconocer las capacidades tecnológicas de las startups participantes, poner en valor nuevas soluciones de producto o servicio y, en definitiva, premiar a las empresas que aporten un enfoque disruptivo con base tecnológica.

La organización acepta propuestas en una convocatoria que permanecerá abierta hasta el próximo 31 de mayo. El 2 de junio se realizará la selección y comunicación de las cinco finalistas, y las startups elegidas presentarán su proyecto en una presentación presencial durante el evento Startup TechDay que tendrá lugar el próximo 14 de junio en Madrid, donde se realizará la selección del ganador.

El perfil requerido de las startups participantes en la ‘Startup Cloud Competition’ es: empresas en fase seed o posterior con producto desarrollado, empresa constituida de al menos un año de antigüedad, poseer un equipo de trabajo sólido y, por último, disponer de capacidades en el uso de tecnología cloud para llevar a cabo proyectos en las áreas de Data, Inteligencia Artificial y Machine Learning.

La startup ganadora recibirá el apoyo de Wayra, incluyendo un Fast Track como posible invertida, así como acceso gratuito a sus espacios de trabajo y la invitación al Retreat de Wayra 2023. También recibirá servicios profesionales por parte de la consultora especializada Altostratus, Part of Telefónica Tech por valor de 10.000 euros. Por último, este premio brinda también la posibilidad de conectar a las startups con el Grupo Telefónica, accediendo a mayores oportunidades tecnológicas y de negocio alineadas con la estrategia de la compañía.
